Academic terms can be entered as literal values such as "2017 Spring". Filters on the left side of the search results can filter large results based on terms. However, some false results can be returned from text searches because some course descriptions explicitly reference terms other than the one in which the course is offered.
Entering the term number can be more precise. Term names follow a simple logic:
1st digit = millenium (always 2)
2nd/3rd digits = final two numbers of calendar year
