Each month my.harvard undergoes mandatory system maintenance. This maintenance period is determined by the vendor who hosts our servers. Each maintenance period is quoted for 7pm Saturday - 7pm Sunday, though most times the system is available sooner.
1. You may need to clear your cache. Clearing your cache is different than clearing your history.
Here is how to clear your cache: Chrome, Firefox, Internet Explorer 9 (or higher), Safari, ipad. After clearing your cache, Mac users must fully quit the browser (not just close it), and Windows users should close all browser windows.
To completely avoid caching issues, consider using private/incognito windows.

2. You are using Internet Explorer 8 (or lower).
We support Internet Explorer 9 or higher, as well as many other browsers. We do not support IE8.
3. You do not currently have access to my.harvard.
Harvard University Division of Continuing Education (DCE) students do not have access to my.harvard. DCE students should continue using www.extension.harvard.edu and www.summer.harvard.edu. These two websites are not part of the new my.harvard even though they are very close in name!
Non-Harvard students cross-registered into Harvard courses do not have access to my.harvard. However, despite not having access to my.harvard, other resources are available:
Course sites are available in Harvard’s leaning management system, Canvas. If you are enrolled in a Harvard course, you can access your course’s site by logging in to Canvas.
The public my.harvard course catalog can also be used to navigate to course sites. Perform a search for a course, select a course from the results, and then use the Course Site button to visit the Canvas course site.
To access a Canvas course site, you must be enrolled in the course. If your petition to cross-register into a course has been approved, and your enrollment in the course has been finalized, you should have access to the course site. If you receive an error when trying to access a course site, the likely reason is that your enrollment has not been finalized yet. The instructor of the course can add you as a guest to the course site until the enrollment is completed. For other Canvas course site related issues, contact email@example.com.

In the browser bar, enter: chrome://settings/clearBrowserData
Select the items you want to clear (e.g., Clear browsing history, Clear download history, Empty the cache, Delete cookies and other site and plug-in data).
From the Obliterate the following items from: drop-down menu, you can choose the period of time for which you want to clear cached information. To clear your entire cache, select the beginning of time.
Click Clear browsing data.
From the Tools or History menu, select Clear Recent History.
If the menu bar is hidden, press Alt to make it visible.
From the Time range to clear: drop-down menu, select the desired range; to clear your entire cache, select Everything.
Click the down arrow next to "Details" to choose which elements of the history to clear.
Click Clear Now.
Internet Explorer 9
Click Tools, and select Delete Browsing History... .
Deselect Preserve Favorites website data, and select Temporary Internet files, Cookies, and History.
